Information and the Internet

The internet - changing the availability of information (both amount and turn-around time) - every message imaginable is available. 

There's enough complexity and entry points into current events that multiple views are everywhere to be found.

Understanding opinions and substantiation.

It is more common place to validate our current thoughts than to look deeper and formulate an come to a different opinion.  The first approach allows us to say, "I knew it all along".  The second is to say, "I was wrong".   

It's not uncommon for the human mind to want quick closure.  This is helped by formulating issues with binary possibilities.
